FULTON OKTOBERFEST RETURNS IN SEPTEMBER

Largest Oktoberfest Selection of Authentic Imported German Beer in the Twin Cities

Minneapolis, MN – August 12, 2024 –  It’s a stein of the times. Fulton Brewing is thrilled to announce the return of its annual Oktoberfest celebration, curating the most authentic Bavarian-based beer experience anywhere in the Twin Cities over the last two weekends in September. The festival will be  held Friday-Saturday, Sept. 20-21 and Friday-Saturday, Sept. 27-28 at Fulton’s Northeast Brewery located at 2540 NE 2nd St. in Minneapolis. Lederhosen is not required but strongly encouraged.

Fulton’s Oktoberfest will feature a multitude of authentic German festivities, hand-crafted traditional fare, and the largest selection of authentic imported German beer under one tent in the metro. Attendees can look forward to:

  • Specialty Beers: Festival-goers can hoi hoi hoist their steins with iconic seasonal favorites Oktoberfest Märzen, Oktoberfest Bier and Hefe-Weizen from Paulaner, and Munich Dark and Oktoberfest Märzen from Hacker-Pschorr. For local flavor, Fulton will be pouring its own Oktoberfest Festbier released on draft and in 12 oz.-12-packs across Minnesota the week of August 19, along with other Fulton favorites.
  • Live Music: This year enjoy even more live music from bands of Polish persuasion like Doctor Kielbasa, Bill Koncar Band, Alperstein Band, Joey Johnson Band, Richie Yurkovich & Polkarioty, and Twin Cities Beer Choir. Award-winning traditional Bavarian dance group SG Edelweiss from St. Paul will also perform live.
  • Traditional, hand-crafted foods: Fulton’s kitchen and Lowry Hill Meats have teamed up to offer a feast of Oktoberfest favorites like thick, juicy bratwurst, Bavarian pretzels the size of your head, and for those up to the challenge, traditional meterwurst.
  • Schnitz & Giggles: Engage in classic Oktoberfest games like stein hoisting, brat toss, and more fun activities for all ages.
  • Kinderhaus: The family-friendly festival will feature a shaded activity tent for kids and an ever-popular bounce house. Families can enjoy a day out together with activities and treats tailored for younger attendees.

“Our longstanding relationship with Paulaner is what makes Fulton’s Oktoberfest so unique,” said Ryan Petz, CEO of Fulton Brewing. “Honoring a 200-year tradition by hoisting steins full of authentic German beer or Fulton’s tribute Feistbier is a celebration we’re proud to continue in Northeast Minneapolis.”

From Sept. 7-17, Fulton’s Taproom is hosting a Stein Swap. All that mismatched, oversized, un-stackable glassware you swore you’d donate “after the wedding” might be worth more than just fond memories. Gently-used steins in good, drinkable condition can be exchanged for beer tokens at Fulton’s Oktoberfest. One stein equals one token, limit 10 steins per person. Discount tokens can also be purchased in advance at the taproom with the opportunity to buy five and get one free.

Fulton Oktoberfest is a token-only economy. One half-liter stein (0.5L) fill requires one token. One full liter stein (1L) costs two tokens. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Steins are required for all draft beer. Festival goers can bring their own or purchase a new or renewed stein.

Fulton Brewing’s Oktoberfest is more than just a celebration of German beer; it’s a celebration of community, culture, and the vibrant spirit of Minneapolis. For more information, visit fultonbeer.com/oktoberfest or follow Fulton on Instagram or Facebook.
